: purple mare wip

Love the colours! The mane and tail and feathering, I love those especially. The black and purple go very well together and look quite dramatic.
I think using reference pictures has helped this alot, the pose and shading are good! Only prehaps you should add some shading on the shoulder? And maybe the lower legs, too. Those areas look quite flat and kind of...dead, compared to the rest of the unicorn which looks bright and alive.
Also, the shoulder doesn't seem to fit...it's too pointy. But for some reason, I like it. It makes it look less like a horse and more like a unicorn, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing.
I love the sense of movement! It *feels* like she's cantering. Good job!
